Film Room: UConn missing a big opportunity with frontcourt usage in Europe

UConn ended its third game in Europe after three quarters — and it wasn’t hard to see why from the film. Following a relatively competitive first quarter, the Italian All-Stars either got tired, bored or both and put up a pathetic effort the rest of the way. From there, the Huskies had no trouble forcing turnovers and faced almost zero resistance while on offense.

Eventually, UConn’s energy dropped too and the game devolved into little more than a glorified pick-up contest. At that point, the Huskies weren’t gaining anything and it wasn’t worth risking injury.

But what the game lacked in competition, it made up for with flair and fun. UConn put together some of its best highlights of the entire trip (so far).
