Ashlynn Shade's toughness proves invaluable in Sweet Sixteen win over Oklahoma

In the dying moments of the third quarter, Ashlynn Shade crashed the glass and leaped for a rebound, only to get clotheslined by Oklahoma’s Raegan Beers. The sophomore slammed into the hardwood and needed a moment to collect herself. When she got up, Shade had a wide smile across her face as she jogged down the floor.

“Ash's toughness is not talked enough about,” Azzi Fudd said. “She's down there battling with big girls and she's holding her own. She gets completely laid out and she's like, ‘I'm fine. I got it. I'm fine.’ … She is actually crazy.”
