No Sarah Strong, no problem for UConn in an 80-48 victory over Butler on Saturday. With the Huskies into the final month of the regular season and nothing but Big East games remaining, they gave the sophomore superstar a day off against the 10th-placed Bulldogs.

Strong wasn’t just getting a breather, though. She’s been dealing with muscle tightness throughout the season and although it won’t keep her out of a meaningful contest, it still needs to be managed.

“Just trying to make sure that whatever tightness she feels doesn't going any further,” Geno Auriemma said postgame. “If she had to play today, she would’ve played. I mean, that’s not a problem. But we’ve got a long way ahead of us. It’s the college version of load management, I guess.”
