When Morgan Cheli was in early elementary school, she had a homework assignment where she needed to decorate a journal with pictures that would motivate her.

She didn’t need to look far to find inspiration: Cheli worked on the project while watching UConn women’s basketball on TV, so the Huskies quickly took over the notebook.

“I had Rebecca Lobo and we had tons of pictures that I just had on my journal,” Cheli told the UConn WBB Weekly on Monday. “I got to look at that every day when I went to that class. I still remember it so obviously it made an impact.”
