UConn women’s basketball breaks up Big East play with a January meeting with No. 15 Notre Dame at Gampel Pavilion on Saturday night. This game gives UConn the chance to see a top-25 opponent beyond Creighton and Marquette in the midst of the conference schedule.

The Irish are 14-4 on the season. Aside from their opening day loss to No. 1 ranked South Carolina on opening day, Notre Dame’s losses have all come in conference play. The Irish dropped a home game to North Carolina and both meetings with Syracuse. With the tougher stretch of ACC play still in front of them, their best win is currently over Miami. The Irish are 1-4 against the NET top-50 teams, with the Hurricanes being the sole team in the win column.
