Opponent Preview: 1-seed Southern California
In the absence of JuJu Watkins, UConn will need to contain Kiki Iriafen and USC's surging freshmen class to get back to the Final Four

Once again, UConn will need to go through 1-seed USC to book its trip to the Final Four. While the game is a rematch of last year’s Elite Eight on paper, both teams look so different entering this game that there’s not much comparison to last season other than the names on the front of the jersey.
Even the meeting earlier this season, a 72-70 victory for the Trojans in Hartford, is not a good reference for Monday’s matchup. The Huskies are a much-improved team since December and Azzi Fudd played just eight minutes in the game. There’s also absence of JuJu Watkins, who tore her ACL early in USC’s second round game, which completely changes the identity of this Trojans squad from what it was even a week ago.
