Injury report
UConn will have at least nine players available to play on Sunday.
Azzi Fudd, Caroline Ducharme, and Aubrey Griffin remain out, as expected. Ayanna Patterson is still in a sling from a shoulder injury that she suffered in practice recently, so she won’t be out there. Morgan Cheli (quad, hamstring, groin) also isn’t likely to suit up, though she wasn’t completely ruled out, either.
“Morgan Cheli’s been in and out of practice,” Geno Auriemma said. “I don't think, based on what I saw today, that she'll be going.”
In better news, KK Arnold should be on the court despite a rolled ankle, most likely in a limited role.
“She seems to be fine,” Auriemma said. “She's working her way back, so I'm expecting her to play a little bit tomorrow.”
While Fudd won’t make her return from a torn ACL on Sunday, she isn’t far off.
“She looks really, really, really good. Really good,” Auriemma said. “It's just a matter of time now but can't give you an exact date… She has a limit in practice of how many minutes she's going to be out there. So there will come a time — next week, the week after, I don't know — when she's just going to come to me and say, ‘I'm good to go right now.’ I'll be looking forward to that.”
As for Ducharme, she was a limited participant in Saturday’s practice but still has no timetable for return. Although her workload has steadily increased, she still isn’t playing with any contact.
“Until we can get that into the mix, it'll just be limited,” Auriemma said.
