UConn women’s basketball does have a 2026 commitment yet, but the coaching staff is working to change that. Over the weekend, the Huskies offered Kate Harpring, the No. 2 player in the class.
After a great conversation with @CoachMValley I am excited and thankful to receive and offer from @UConnWBB !!! Can’t wait to build our relationship!

Listed at 5-11 out of Atlanta, Harpring is a guard who currently plays at Marist School. As a sophomore, she averaged 27.8 points and 7.8 rebounds while leading her team to a Class 6A state championship. After being named a Naismith High School Honorable Mention All-American, she broke out during the summer and won MVP of Overtime Select — an event for the nation’s top recruits — after leading her side to a championship last month.
