The good (and bad) from UConn's exhibition opener

The Huskies confirmed some obvious strengths but still have plenty to keep itself busy on the practice court.

During his halftime interview with NBC Sports Boston, Geno Auriemma perfectly recapped UConn’s exhibition performance against Boston College on Monday night.

“It all depends what kind of combinations we got out there. We're trying to get as many people on the court as possible. So we knew going in there were going to be times when it looks really good — considering [the circumstances] — and then other times, you gotta take the good with the bad,” he explained. “But we're getting good shots, we’re just not making any shots. So things that you would expect this time of the year — a couple dumb fouls — but we're getting great shots. If we can keep doing that, then we'll be fine.”

Some good, some bad, plenty to work on — as to be expected roughly three weeks out from the season opener. The Huskies came out on top 84-67, though the final score was secondary — borderline meaningless — compared to the individual and collective efforts.
