On Monday, UConn women’s basketball announced it will begin a home-and-home series with USC this season. The Huskies will host the Trojans in Connecticut on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024 before making the return trip to Los Angeles during the 2025-26 campaign.

Fox will broadcast the first game, though tip-off time and arena designation will be announced at a later date.

The two schools just faced off in the 2024 Elite Eight, where UConn claimed an 80-73 win in Portland, Oregon. USC is projected to be one of the top teams in the nation again this upcoming season — just like the Huskies. The Trojans will return freshman sensation JuJu Watkins while adding Stanford transfer Kiki Iriafen, Oregon State transfer Talia Von Oelhoffen and the top recruiting class in the country to a team that earned a 1-seed in 2024.

Meanwhile, UConn has Paige Bueckers back for her redshirt senior season along with a strong group of returners, Princeton transfer Kaitlyn Chen and the second-best incoming class in the nation.

The Huskies last traveled to California during the 2018-19 campaign, when they faced Cal.

With USC on the schedule, UConn has three spots still open on its non-conference schedule in addition to a multi-team event. The Huskies are slated to play USC and USF at home; Notre Dame, South Carolina and Tennessee on the road; UNC in Greensboro, North Carolina; and Louisville in the Champions Classic at the Barclays Center on Dec. 17.
