UConn's freshmen save the day to secure a spot in the Sweet Sixteen

In the final minute, Ashlynn Shade and KK Arnold each made a game-changing play on either end of the court to lift the Huskies over Syracuse.

On a day where Paige Bueckers set a new career mark for points in the NCAA Tournament with 32, Aaliyah Edwards recorded another double-double and Nika Mühl became the program’s all-time leader in assists, UConn’s freshmen saved the day. Ashlynn Shade and KK Arnold came up with the game’s two biggest plays to lift the Huskies to a 72-64 win over Syracuse in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
