Opponent preview: No. 20 Maryland Terrapins

Shyanne Sellers and Maryland come to Gampel on Thursday for another early season test for UConn.

After falling to NC State 81-92 on Sunday, UConn has another test ahead on Thursday night. Maryland, ranked 20th in this week’s AP Poll, will head to Storrs to take on the Huskies.

The Terrapins are 1-1 on the season thus far, starting off their schedule with a 23-point win over a good Harvard team. They then lost to South Carolina by 38 points in their second game of the season. Maryland kept the matchup close through the first half, but South Carolina overwhelmed them in the second half behind a strong 3-point shooting effort.
