UConn women’s basketball’s 86-62 beatdown over the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals on Sunday had a vintage feel to it.

The Huskies did what their great teams typically do: They played well from start-to-finish thanks to an offense that was efficient — they shot a season-best 59.3 percent from the field — and flowed — they assisted on 24 of 32 baskets. The defense recovered from a rough start where they allowed 27 points in the first quarter to hold Louisville to just 35 points the rest of the game. They played the game on their terms.
