Are you a women's basketball writer? Come join us!

We're looking for an extra hand to help us cover the Huskies.

We are hiring a part-time writer to cover UConn women’s basketball, primarily for the UConn WBB Weekly, a newsletter and podcast focused on the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team.

The ideal candidate has some daytime availability. This is a permanent, part-time role that would be a good fit for freelance writers, students, professionals outside of journalism, full-time reporters in other fields, or anyone who can demonstrate familiarity with sports and writing. Our team includes a mix of people with all kinds of educational and professional backgrounds.

While the day-to-day position is fully remote, the ideal candidate lives within range to make the occasional trip to Storrs or Hartford, CT, but that is certainly not required. In many cases, audio or video from interviews or press conferences will be provided for the reporter to write off of. Any travel expenses for coverage of games or other events will be paid by us upfront or reimbursed.

Candidates should be excited to cover one of the most successful teams in the history of organized sports. Geno Auriemma’s Huskies have a dedicated fanbase that has the highest expectations for the team every year – and equally high expectations of the people covering it.
