On Wednesday, the Dallas Wings announced that Azzi Fudd will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on her right knee to address ongoing soreness that’ll keep her out the remainder of the 2026 WNBA campaign. The operation is set to take place in Connecticut early next week.
Fudd has missed the last five games and also sat out the second game of the year due to the ailment. Her right knee is the same one in which she’s torn her ACL twice.
As a rookie, Fudd ranks fifth in the league with 1.7 steals to go along with 13.1 points on 45.6 percent shooting overall and 39.7 percent shooting from three. She started 24 of 30 games for the Wings and leads all rookies with 31.7 minutes per night. Fudd also became the first rookie to win the WNBA 3-point contest.
UConn’s non-conference schedule for the upcoming season is finally out — and it’s quite a gauntlet. The Huskies will play 10 teams who finished in the top 25 of the NCAA Net Rankings, including two that made the Final Four and five from the Elite Eight.
But the most notable part of the release? UConn won’t play a single non-conference game after Dec. 20. The last time the Huskies didn’t
This Friday, Aug. 21, “The Dynasty: UConn Huskies” will premiere on Apple TV. The three-part series covers the program’s illustrious history but also takes viewers behind the scenes for UConn’s most recent championship run.
I wrote a full review of the documentary over on The UConn Blog. While it’s far from a definitive history, it’s incredibly entertaining and a must-watch for UConn fans. The biggest revelation comes in episode three when it details the contentious relationship between Geno Auriemma and Paige Bueckers during the 2024-25 campaign.
Meet Olivia Vukosa
Olivia Vukosa does not lack confidence. As she walked into the Werth Champions Center each day during summer workouts, she took note of the program history displayed in seemingly every corner of the building.
But Vukosa isn’t intimidated by all of that. Just the opposite, in fact.
“I get to walk into Worth every day and see all the faces on the walls and the champions,” she said. “I want to be up here one day, and I know I'm going to be up here.”
