Ice Brady finds new home, to miss upcoming season

On Sunday, former UConn forward Ice Brady announced her commitment to Florida State. Oddly enough, the Seminoles were the last team she played against as a member of the Huskies before being sidelined for the remainder of the season by knee issues.

Two days later, FSU officially signed Brady and announced that she’ll miss the entire 2026-27 campaign. The San Diego native underwent knee surgery on Feb. 16, which Geno Auriemma said would require “a long rehab”. Brady should have two years of eligibility remaining when she returns to the court.

Caroline Ducharme waived by Golden State

Just over a week into training camp, the Golden State Valkyries waived former UConn guard Caroline Ducharme. She appeared in one exhibition contest, knocking down a 3-pointer while also collecting a rebound and an assist in seven minutes of action.

NCAA Tournament set to expand

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the NCAA is expected to expand the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments from 68 to 76 teams. The official announcement could come around mid-May.

The move isn’t financially motivated — though profits would increase — but a way to get more undeserving power conference teams into the field. Nothing screams March Madness like mediocrity.

The eight new spots would all be taken by at-large bids. They would have to play their way into the standard 64-team bracket, as the last four in currently do with the “First Four”.

Men, You've Been Misinformed

Men's skin is about 25% thicker than women's, but thicker skin doesn't mean better aging. It means delayed collapse. For years, your skin looks resilient. Then collagen declines, and when it does, it drops hard: deeper wrinkles, heavier under-eye bags, more dark spots showing up all at once.

Most men were never taught to get ahead of this. Women were. And by the time the signs show up, you're playing catch-up.

Particle Face Cream was built precisely for this. One 6-in-1 formula engineered for men's skin — reduces eye bags, dark spots, and wrinkles, restores firmness, hydrates deeply, and revives dull tone. No complicated routine. Over 1,000,000 men already use it. Try it risk-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

News and notes from the UConn players in the WNBA:

  • Paige Bueckers opened her press conference at the Dallas Wings’ media day with a statement addressing her relationship with Azzi Fudd, saying, “Me and Azzi's personal relationship is nobody's business but our own, and what we choose to share is completely up to us.” Bueckers also pushed back on the narrative that the Wings only picked Fudd first overall as a favor to the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year: “It had nothing to do with me and everything to do with who she is as a human being, who she is a basketball player, her resilience, her strength and her career-best year at UConn.” (Full story)

  • Speaking of Fudd, she threw out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers game.

  • Aubrey Griffin is off to a strong start in her first WNBA preseason. She finished with six points, two rebounds, a steal and a block in the exhibition opener against the Washington Mystics. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve on the rookie: “This is what she’s been doing in camp. Really happy for her, cause it was a long year, long road for her to get back to her health. She did some really nice things for us to get us going in the second half.”

  • Hilarious moment from Breanna Stewart:

  • Katie Lou Samuelson and her daughter, Aliya, met up with Gabby Williams ahead of an exhibition:
